Qualification 12TH, 10TH, 8TH
Eligibility Criteria
- Soldier (General Duty): Class 10t/ Matric Pass with 45% marks in aggregate and 33% in each subject. For Boards following grading sys Min of D Grade (33-40) in Individual subjects or grade which contains 33% and overall aggregate of C2 grade or equivalent, corresponding to 45% in aggregate
- Soldier (Clerk): 10+2/ Intermediate Exam Pass in any stream (Arts. Commerce, Science) with 60% marks in aggregate and minimum 50% in each subject. Securing 50% in English and Math’s/Accounts/Book Keeping in Class 12th is mandatory
- Soldier Tradesmen (All tradesmen except House Keeper & Mess Keeper): Class 10th Pass, no stipulation in aggregate percentage but should have scored min 33% in each subject
- Soldier Tradesmen (House Keeper & Mess Keeper): Class 8th Pass, no stipulation in aggregate percentage but should have scored min 33% in each subject
Physical Standards
For Male Candidates
- Height: Minimum 160 cm
- Relaxation: 157 cm for candidates domiciled in the Eastern Himalayan Region – Sikkim, Manipur, Tripura, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, and Hill Region of West Bengal (Darjeeling & Kalimpong Districts).
- Also applicable to Indian Domicile Gorkhas, Garhwalis, and Ladakhis.
- Chest: Minimum 82 cm (expanded) and 77 cm (unexpanded).
- Weight: Proportionate to Height and Age as per Army medical standards
For Female Candidates
- Height: Minimum 157 cm
- Relaxation: 152 cm for candidates domiciled in the Eastern Himalayan Region – Sikkim, Manipur, Tripura, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, and Indian Domicile Gorkhas.
- Chest: Minimum expansion of 5 cm.
- Weight: Proportionate to Height and Age as per Army medical standards.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age Limit: 18 Years
- Maximum Age limit: 42 Years
- Age relaxation is applicable as per rules.
